September 2005 (Santa Monica Daily Press) Kudos to Santa Monicans for Sensible Priorities Editor: It's about time we see a group of people in our community willing to step to the forefront and tackle the issues that plague Santa Monica like homelessness and traffic. In the past, many groups and politicians have attempted to solve our homelessness and traffic problems but are constantly more talk than action. SMFSP seems different in that they are ready and willing to publicly tackle these difficult issues. The public forum mentioned in your article on May 31 (proposed by SMFSP) is just the beginning and we need more forums designed to educate and unite our community. I look forward to this first public forum and the exchange of ideas that will take place. I encourage SMFSP to continue their efforts and to continue to listen to the residents of Santa Monica and work side-by-side with the SMRR Community and other groups along with the business community that keeps our economy running.
